The timing for an updated roadmap couldn’t be more crucial following Pi Network’s moderators’ recent strike due to a lack of information from the Pi Core team.
Pi Network has been making waves in the decentralized mining ecosystem for quite some time. The buzz now centers around the core team's need to release an updated roadmap, especially with the highly anticipated open mainnet launch.
Rumors are flying that the updated Pi Network roadmap will be revealed in September 2023. However, like most news within the Pi ecosystem, these updates are often only discussed on platforms like Twitter. With the last roadmap update in 2021, Pioneers are eager to see what's next.
Pi CEO Nicolas Kokkalis gave some insights into what the new roadmap might contain. According to his earliest statement, the roadmap may include the protocol's mainnet details and expected timelines.
"We are working on a roadmap that can be utilized by the public, and we greatly value this aspect. Throughout the project's development, we have adhered closely to the step-by-step roadmap and have never deviated," Nicolas stated.
The timing for the updated roadmap couldn't be more crucial. Recent events, like Pi moderators going on strike due to a lack of information from the core team, have highlighted the need for more transparency. An updated roadmap would serve as a much-needed breath of fresh air in the Pi ecosystem.
As we await the potential release of the updated roadmap, the big question remains: Is it speculation or reality? With a community eager for updates and a core team promising more transparency, it looks like the updated roadmap is more a matter of "when" rather than "if." For now, Pioneers will have to stay tuned and keep an eye out for the next big announcement.
Pi Network is a mobile mining blockchain with an application that lets people earn Pi coins by doing simple tasks on their phones. However, the project remains in its development stage with delivery of an open mainnet still a matter of speculation, with no launch date confirmed.
With this in mind, the protocol remains in its testnet stage and will apparently go live when many users (Pioneers) complete the mandatory KYC procedure while the core team works on developing its ecosystem.
Pi Network is also reported to be under investigation by authorities in Vietnam and users should exercise a high degree of caution when interacting with the project and ensure they have conducted sufficient research before doing so.
