PancakeSwap Has Hungry Eyes for New Aptos Chain

Get your forks and knives at the ready! PancakeSwap is preparing to bring its menu of Decentralized Finance (DeFi) offerings to the newly launched Aptos blockchain.

PancakeSwap is the dominant Decentralized Exchange (DEX) on BNB Chain, accounting for about 40% of the chain’s Total Value Locked (TVL), according to DefiLlama. Seeking to secure the top position on Aptos, the DEX established an Aptos token exchange and has now made certain liquidity pairs tradeable on its website.

The DEX intends to offer its full range of products, including token swaps, incentivized farming, syrup pools, and IFOs on Aptos.

“Aptos is the first blockchain which PancakeSwap will be fully integrated with. PancakeSwap will be deploying its CAKE token natively on Aptos along with its key products, making the CAKE token truly multichain for the first time,” according to a PancakeSwap Medium post from Oct. 24.

All four products are expected to be launched on Aptos by the end of November. With all the hype and potential buzz surrounding the launch of Aptos (the first layer-one network based on the Move programming language originally developed at Facebook), can PancakeSwap reproduce the hegemonic position it has staked out on BNB Chain?
