Bitget Wallet has launched a beta AI agent suite that lets large language models tap directly into real-time blockchain data and trading infrastructure. The centerpiece is Bitget Wallet Skill, a tool that allows AI agents to pull onchain market data using natural language, essentially turning conversational AI into an analytical interface for crypto markets.

The release, announced from San Salvador on February 27, signals a broader push from the self-custodial wallet provider into agent-driven finance, an emerging sector where AI systems handle market analysis and trade preparation while users keep full control over execution.

What Does Bitget Wallet Skill Actually Do?

Built in collaboration with OpenClaw, Skill connects AI agent platforms to Bitget Wallet's enterprise API. That means AI agents can query token data, pull candlestick charts, check transaction stats, view gainers and losers rankings, inspect liquidity pool metrics, run contract security checks, and generate optimal swap routing quotes, all through natural language prompts.

It works across nine major networks: BNB ChainBaseSolanaEthereumArbitrumTONTronSui, and Optimism.

The important detail here is what happens at execution. The AI agent finds the best trading route and prepares unsigned transaction data, but the user still reviews and signs every transaction. No custody is handed off. The wallet stays self-custodial throughout.

"AI models are increasingly being used to interpret market data and assist with trading decisions, but they still operate largely outside of onchain execution infrastructure," said Alvin Kan, COO of Bitget Wallet. He added that extending the API to agent-based environments was a natural next step as liquidity fragments across chains and workflows become more data-driven.

How Does This Fit Into the Bigger Picture?

The suite runs on the same backend that powers the Bitget Wallet API, which aggregates liquidity from more than 110 decentralized protocols. By opening that infrastructure to AI agents, the wallet effectively extends its trading engine beyond the consumer app into programmable, agent-based environments.

Skill has already been tested across several AI agent platforms, including OpenClaw, Manus, and Claude-based systems. That positions it for both individual traders running AI-assisted workflows and teams building automated market analysis tools.

Beyond Skill: MCP Server and CLI

Bitget Wallet didn't stop at Skill. The beta suite also includes:

  • A Model Context Protocol (MCP) server that lets LLM-based tools call API endpoints directly within development environments
  • A Command-Line Interface (CLI) for scripting and automation, giving developers direct programmable access to the API stack

Together, these tools position Bitget Wallet's blockchain infrastructure as a layer within the broader AI development stack, not just a consumer product but a backend that AI systems can build on.

Why It Matters

The crypto industry has seen plenty of AI narratives over the past year, but most have stayed surface-level. What makes this release worth watching is the practical angle. Instead of slapping an AI chatbot onto a wallet interface, Bitget Wallet is opening its liquidity and data infrastructure to external AI systems. That is a fundamentally different approach.

With more than 90 million users and a $700 million user protection fund backing its self-custodial model, the wallet has scale. Whether the AI agent layer gains meaningful traction will depend on developer adoption and how well these tools perform under real trading conditions.

For now, it is one of the more concrete attempts to bridge the gap between AI capabilities and onchain execution.
