BSCN Editorial Policy
These standards explain how BSCN approaches accuracy, attribution, independence, commercial disclosures and corrections across our crypto news coverage.
Mission and coverage
BSCN reports on cryptocurrency, blockchain infrastructure, digital assets, regulation, markets, project updates, ecosystem development, funding, security incidents and related technology. Our goal is to give readers timely, useful and clearly sourced information about a fast-moving industry.
Accuracy and verification
- We prioritize primary sources such as official announcements, regulatory filings, court records, protocol documentation, company statements, public blockchain data and direct comments from involved parties.
- Material claims should be attributed clearly. When a claim cannot be independently verified, the article should make that limitation clear.
- Editors may update stories as new information becomes available, especially during breaking news events where facts can change quickly.
Fairness and right of reply
When an article makes significant claims about a person, company, project or organization, BSCN seeks relevant context and, where practical, gives the subject a chance to comment before publication. If a response arrives after publication, the article may be updated with the additional context.
Editorial independence
- Editorial decisions are made by the BSCN editorial team.
- Advertisers, sponsors and commercial partners do not control BSCN editorial coverage.
- BSCN team members may not accept payment, gifts or other benefits in exchange for favorable editorial coverage.
Sponsored and commercial content
Sponsored articles, paid press releases, promotional campaigns and other commercial material must be labelled so readers can distinguish them from independent editorial coverage. Commercial content is subject to review for basic quality, disclosure and compliance, but it should not be presented as independent news reporting.
Conflicts and financial context
Crypto coverage can affect markets and reputations. Writers and editors should avoid assignments where a material personal or financial conflict would compromise coverage. If a relevant relationship, sponsorship, ownership interest or affiliate arrangement exists, BSCN should disclose it in or near the relevant content.
Use of AI tools
BSCN may use software tools, including AI-assisted tools, to support research, transcription, summarization, editing, translation, formatting or image workflows. Editorial responsibility remains with BSCN. AI-assisted output must be reviewed before publication and should not replace source checking, editorial judgement or disclosure where disclosure is needed.
Corrections
If BSCN publishes a factual error, we aim to correct it promptly and transparently. Significant corrections should be noted on the article or handled under the corrections process.
