Interlink Rolls Out Major Security Upgrade
InterLink has released Version 5.0.2, adding two-factor authentication, synchronized KYC metrics, a redesigned onboarding flow, and BitFlip, the first testnet DApp inside its ecosystem.

What Version 5.0.2 Delivers
InterLink has released Version 5.0.2, a wide-ranging update that touches security, identity verification, and user onboarding across its platform. The update adds two-factor authentication (2FA) and synchronized KYC metrics alongside a fully redesigned onboarding experience, according to the project's announcement.
The Google Play listing for the InterLink app confirms the headline changes in the release: the update includes a new onboarding flow, two-factor authentication, new referral tracking sections, synchronized metrics, and the BitFlip game.
The company said the release is intended to improve transparency and the overall user experience, bringing tighter identity controls in line with its broader mission. Powered by Proof of Personhood, InterLink aims to bring 1 billion real people on-chain, building what it describes as the world's largest and most authentic human network.
BitFlip Marks First Testnet DApp in the Ecosystem
Beyond the security improvements, the release introduces BitFlip, described as the first testnet DApp to launch inside the InterLink ecosystem. The move is consistent with InterLink's strategy of building out an application layer on top of its identity infrastructure. InterLink aims to build the world's largest real human network, supporting applications, games, and financial transactions through a decentralized approach, with a focus on secure digital identity verification combining blockchain technology and artificial intelligence.
The project is currently running its Taj Mahal testnet phase. The Interlink Taj Mahal Testnet is the first major public testing phase for Interlink Chain, a human-centric Layer 1 blockchain, and it went live in April 2026. The chain will go through multiple testnet phases, each more refined than the last, with the Taj Mahal phase serving as Phase 1. BitFlip's arrival as a DApp inside that environment signals a gradual expansion of the ecosystem ahead of a broader mainnet push.
InterLink says it has more than 7 million verified users in over 100 countries. With Version 5.0.2 now live, the team appears focused on tightening the platform's security posture and lowering friction for new users before scaling further.
