INTERLINK MASTERCARD IS COMING SOON...

Interlink and Mastercard Set to Announce Payment Card Partnership

@Inter_link is set to announce a strategic partnership with @Mastercard to launch the InterLink Mastercard — a move that would integrate digital assets directly into one of the world's largest payment networks. The card is designed to allow users to spend ecosystem rewards and tokens at millions of merchant locations worldwide, as part of a phased expansion of Interlink's payment infrastructure.

For $ITL holders, the partnership represents a direct on-ramp to real-world liquidity. Rather than requiring users to convert tokens through third-party exchanges before spending, the InterLink Mastercard aims to make that process seamless at the point of sale — bridging decentralized finance with everyday retail transactions.

Mastercard's Broader Push Into Digital Assets

The move arrives as Mastercard deepens its engagement with the crypto sector more broadly. The company has built on its longstanding partnership approach to digital assets through initiatives including its Start Path blockchain track and its Engage platform, which features a dedicated Crypto Card programme. Mastercard executives have noted that blockchain and crypto are increasingly being used to solve real-world problems, with tools enabling instant settlement, programmable payments, and round-the-clock cross-border transfers.

For Interlink, a payment card deal with a network of this scale would mark a significant step in its roadmap. InterLink operates a dual-token system, with $ITLG serving as the utility and participation token and $ITL functioning as the reserve and institutional token. The project's plans include securing more than 1,000 merchant partnerships for $ITL payments across the US and Asia , with the Mastercard partnership appearing to form part of that broader commercial push. Longer term, InterLink has set a target of expanding toward 10,000 payment points by 2030.

Interlink's underlying network is built around proof-of-personhood. Tokens are minted through human verification and ongoing participation rather than capital investment or hardware-intensive mining, with the network using facial scanning and liveness detection to ensure each participant represents a real individual. The Mastercard integration would put that verified user base in direct contact with traditional payment infrastructure, a combination the project argues creates a more accountable and accessible payments ecosystem.

Full details of the partnership, including launch timing and supported regions, are expected to be announced by Interlink in the coming days.
