Celia Wallet Teases Megadrop for $CELIA Token Holders

@CeliaWallet has teased a Megadrop event designed to distribute $CELIA tokens directly to its global user base. The announcement has drawn immediate comparisons to @PiCoreTeam, the mobile-first mining project that popularised the idea of accumulating crypto rewards on a smartphone ahead of a mainnet launch.

Much like Pi Network's model — where users check into an app daily to accrue rewards without specialist hardware — participants in the Celia ecosystem are currently using the Celia Wallet app on iOS and Android to accumulate mining credits ahead of the finalised distribution phase. The app, available on both major mobile platforms, is built on the BNB Smart Chain and supports token transfers, swaps, staking, and a built-in DApp browser.

The Megadrop tease arrives at a meaningful point in the project's development. Earlier this year, Celia completed the token migration from testnet to mainnet for existing holders and confirmed exchange listings on MEXC and BingX, giving the project early exposure to global liquidity. According to the project's tokenomics, 87.5% of the total 800 million $CELIA supply — some 700 million tokens — is reserved for community distribution through mining rewards, airdrops, and long-term incentives.

Mobile-First Mining: A Familiar Playbook

The parallels with Pi Network (@PiCoreTeam) are hard to ignore. Pi Network pioneered the concept of smartphone-based crypto mining when it launched in 2019, allowing users to earn tokens through daily app engagement rather than energy-intensive hardware. Celia is following a similar arc. The project started in mid-2024 with a mining and staking app that let users earn $CELIA credits on their phones. It has since grown a community of over 507,000 followers on X through referral programmes and mining incentives, according to BSCN's coverage of the wallet. The platform's broader ecosystem includes Celia Circle, a Web3 social platform, and Celia Academy, an educational content layer — all powered by the $CELIA token.
