INJECTIVE STAKERS WANT MAINNET UPGRADE
Over 32 million staked INJ has been committed to the governance vote for the upcoming Injective mainnet upgrade, with on-chain data showing a 100% approval rate among participating stakers.

Near-Unanimous Support for Injective Protocol's Next Upgrade
The @Injective community is moving decisively toward its next major protocol upgrade. More than 32 million staked $INJ has been committed to the active governance vote, with on-chain data at the time of publication showing a 100% approval rate among participating stakers. The proposal's voting window is scheduled to close within hours, though all $INJ holders remain eligible to cast their vote before the deadline.
This level of on-chain participation is consistent with how @Injective has historically handled protocol decisions. Since mainnet launch, all major updates and upgrades for Injective have been voted on by the community, which has helped steer the network's development. The current vote continues that pattern, placing control of a significant infrastructure change directly in the hands of token holders.
What the Upgrade Targets
The proposal is aimed at a broad infrastructure expansion, with developer activity in recent months pointing toward two specific areas: high-frequency trading tooling and AI-integrated financial modules. The upgrade delivers optimizations across Injective's MultiVM infrastructure, core exchange module, and AI network tooling.
Injective is an open, interoperable layer-one blockchain powering next-generation finance applications — including DeFi, RWAs, AI, decentralized exchanges, and lending protocols — and uniquely provides a fully decentralized MEV-resistant on-chain orderbook. The proposed upgrade builds on that foundation, targeting performance and capability improvements across several of those verticals.
Injective's governance process has produced strong results in prior votes. A recent governance proposal, IIP-619, was designed to upgrade Injective's real-time EVM architecture and broaden the network's MultiVM footprint, passing with near-unanimous validator support as 99.99% of staked participants voted in favor. The current vote appears to be following a similar trajectory.
With the voting window closing imminently, $INJ holders who have not yet participated should note that eligibility remains open until the proposal closes on-chain.
