STRATEGY ACQUIRES 3,273 BTC AS CORPORATE ACCUMULATION SCALES
Strategy has purchased an additional 3,273 BTC for $255 million at an average price of $77,906, bringing total holdings to 818,334 Bitcoin as institutional demand remains firm.

@Strategy, the Virginia-based business intelligence firm led by executive chairman Michael Saylor, acquired 3,273 $BTC for approximately $255 million between April 20 and April 26, 2026, at an average price of $77,906 per coin. The purchases have contributed to a BTC Yield of 9.6% year-to-date for 2026, the firm's internal measure of how much its BTC-per-share ratio has grown for common shareholders.
The latest addition brings @Strategy's total Bitcoin holdings to 818,334 $BTC, acquired for a cumulative ~$61.81 billion at an average cost basis of ~$75,537 per Bitcoin.
Steady Accumulation Near Recent Highs
The tranche was executed at a premium to @Strategy's overall cost basis, reflecting continued buying even as prices consolidated near recent highs. The firm now controls roughly three-quarters of all Bitcoin held by corporate treasury vehicles, according to market data. The company's disciplined weekly cadence — now surpassing 100 separate purchase events since it first entered Bitcoin in 2020 — has continued despite broader market volatility. Saylor has consistently described Bitcoin accumulation as a long-term capital allocation strategy, framing each purchase as a hedge against currency debasement rather than a near-term trade.
BTC Yield Metric and Growing Institutional Scrutiny
The 9.6% BTC Yield figure sits at the centre of @Strategy's argument to equity holders for continuing to raise and deploy capital into $BTC. The company's monthly buying pace has put a one-million BTC target back into analyst conversations, with some projections placing the milestone within reach by late 2026 if current capital market conditions hold.
Not all observers are convinced the model is durable. Critics including Peter Schiff have warned of a potential "death spiral" in @Strategy's preferred equity structure, arguing that sustaining the 11.5% yield on $STRC requires either stronger Bitcoin performance or continuous capital raises that risk diluting shareholders. @Strategy has shown no public indication it plans to slow its buying pace heading into the second half of 2026.
