BabyDogeSwap Passes $27M in TVL

A slew of new milestones over the past week from Oct. 25 has helped bring increased attention to the already incredibly popular memecoin Baby Doge Coin. The week saw Total Value Locked (TVL) on the BabyDogeSwap platform surpass $27 million, two new partnerships inked, trillions of tokens burned, and more.

BabyDogeSwap headlined the week of news by climbing past $27 million, while quickly approaching $28 million in TVL. Early hiccups with the swap couldn’t slow user engagement on the platform, powered by the hype behind Baby Doge Coin. The team tweeted on Oct. 30 that new features for the swap are incoming that include more ways to observe stats on the platform.

More Partnerships, More Utility for Baby Doge

The two new partnerships include one with the horse-racing metaverse game DeRace NFT and the launchpad network UniCrypt. The UniCrypt partnership brings tertiary utility to the BabyDoge Army, giving them the ability to launch projects on BabyDogeSwap, which also includes farm and staking pools.

The DeRace crossover includes “exciting events” for both communities, according to the DeRace tweet from Oct. 26. The tweet was also accompanied by a video showing a DeRace horse sporting a Baby Doge insignia on the horse’s hind legs. BSC News reached out to DeRace for comment but it was not returned in time for publication.

The swap service and further partnerships are growing Baby Doge Coin into more than just a memecoin. The swap brings Decentralized Finance (DeFi) utility to the project, bringing it more in line with the characteristics of a Decentralized Exchange (DEX).

As the bear market is a time for building, the new features and services are rounding out Baby Doge Coin into a robust blockchain project with a variety of services that match popular DEXes on BNB Chain.

The micro-cap token of $150 million saw an 11.9% price increase over the last week, according to CoinGecko. The trading volume increased from around $4 million to just over a high of $14 million but remains above $13 million, as of the time of writing.
