Kaspa distinguishes itself with practical features solving real blockchain limitations:
The GHOSTDAG protocol enables parallel block processing with near-instant transaction confirmations, and the planned DAGKNIGHT upgrade (KIP-02) aims to further enhance adaptability and efficiency. Unlike traditional blockchains that process one block at a time, Kaspa's BlockDAG architecture already accepts all valid blocks simultaneously, reducing confirmation times to seconds.

Unlike many newer chains focused primarily on DeFi applications, Kaspa's foundation prioritizes the fundamental blockchain properties of speed, security, and decentralization without specialized consensus participants.
The fundamental BlockDAG architecture separates Kaspa from traditional blockchains by enabling parallel block processing instead of linear approaches. This means no wasted blocks, no orphaned transactions, maximum mining efficiency, and lightning fast speeds.
