Set in futuristic Tokyo in the year 2124, Tokyo Beast offers both competitive gameplay and spectator-driven prediction elements. Key features include a pooled NFT system, advanced breeding mechanics, and dynamic tournaments with daily arena battles and a weekend Championship.
Japan’s biggest mobile game developer is set to launch Tokyo Beast on Immutable, the premier platform for games on Ethereum, according to a recent announcement from Immutable. The collaboration combines traditional mobile gaming expertise with cutting-edge blockchain technology.
This collaboration marks Immutable’s third unicorn developer deal and reinforces its leadership in Asia’s Web3 gaming market.
Naoki Motohashi, the Producer of Tokyo Beast, stated,
“Partnering with Immutable was a clear choice for us as we push to expand the boundaries of Web3 gaming. Immutable’s blockchain technology is a perfect fit to bring Tokyo Beast to Web3. We’re excited to set a new standard for competitive gaming on the blockchain.”
Tokyo Beast introduces a new style of gameplay that seamlessly blends traditional mobile mechanics with Web3 innovation. Set in the futuristic Tokyo of 2124, the game presents a world where androids known as replicants possess a will of their own. In this universe, humans live in luxury while competitive combat becomes a form of entertainment.
At the heart of Tokyo Beast is “XENO-karate,” a high-stakes tournament where androids—referred to as “BEAST”—battle for supremacy. The game is designed for dual participation:
This dual structure caters to both active gamers and passive fans, expanding the game’s appeal and creating multiple revenue streams.
Tokyo Beast stands out with its integration of blockchain technology. Key Web3 features include:
Pooled NFT System
The game introduces a pooled NFT system that allows new players to join without owning NFTs. This system maintains value for existing NFT holders while enabling a broader audience to participate. Players can stake tokens to receive BEAST NFTs, which can then be staked for additional tokens and in-game items.
Advanced Breeding Mechanics
Players can breed their BEAST androids to create unique, rare variants. This advanced breeding mechanic adds depth to the gameplay and encourages long-term engagement.
Tokyo Beast hosts daily arena battles and a weekend Championship. The tournament structure is designed to:
In addition to combat, the game features a win-loss prediction system. Spectators can wager on match outcomes and earn in-game rewards, including jewels and virtual currency. This element introduces a layer of strategy and engagement for those who prefer to follow the action from the sidelines.
Immutable’s co-founder, Robbie Ferguson, said,
“At Immutable, we focus on bringing high-quality games to Web3. Tokyo Beast exemplifies a game that can drive mainstream adoption of blockchain gaming. With its large fanbase and solid game design, we believe the Tokyo Beast Championship tournaments will engage millions of new players.”
Some of the key advantages Immutable brings to Tokyo Beast include:
Immutable has already onboarded over 440 well-funded games onto its platform, making it the fastest-growing ecosystem of 2025. With backing from top global investors such as Temasek, Tencent, Bitkraft, King River Capital, and Galaxy, Immutable aims to lead the charge in blockchain gaming.
Tokyo Beast marks another major step for Immutable as it continues to secure collaborations with top-tier developers. Immutable saw the success of MARBLEX in South Korea and agreements with over 235 gaming companies across Asia. With Tokyo Beast, Immutable aims to:
