The Terra ecosystem, reborn after its 2022 collapse and disgrace of founder, Do Kwon, has frozen its website in order to prevent users from falling victim to further phishing attacks.

Terra’s website was first compromised over the weekend when malicious actors sought to take advantage of users via phishing attacks, whereby users are misled into revealing sensitive information or downloading malicious content. 

This weekend’s attack was followed by an update on Twitter from the Terra team, which urged users to refrain from any interactions with its website domain. 

According to the team, users should “avoid engaging with sites under the terra(dot)money domain until we post an official "all-clear" notice from this account.”

A Lack of Sympathy from the Cryptocurrency Community

In light of Terra/LUNA’s collapse last year, widely attributed to triggering the current cryptocurrency bear market, some individuals in the crypto community have proved less than sympathetic to those affected by the above news.

One Reddit user in particular stated that “If you have a terra.money domain it deserves to be hacked.”
