Bless Network, a project aiming to create a global shared computer, has released a detailed roadmap ahead of its mainnet launch. This initiative, driven by a team of developers and contributors, seeks to decentralize computing resources by allowing anyone with a browser to share idle compute power. The roadmap outlines a phased approach to evolve the network from its current testnet phase into a robust platform for AI-native applications.
Unveiled recently, the plan addresses where the project stands, why it matters for future software development, and when key milestones will occur, with the mainnet launch targeted for an unspecified date following the current testnet phase that began in November 2024.
What Is Bless Network?
Bless Network is a decentralized platform designed to pool unused computing power from everyday devices, such as laptops and desktops, into a shared infrastructure. The project launched its testnet in November 2024, introducing the Bless Extension Node to enable participation.
Backed by a team with experience from Binance Labs and Akash Network, Bless raised $8 million in funding during 2024 from investors including M31 Capital and NGC Ventures. This financial support has fueled its growth, with over 5 million nodes launched and more than 1 million active daily, contributing over 200 petaFLOPs of compute capacity. The network’s goal is to offer an alternative to centralized cloud services, empowering users and developers with accessible, community-driven resources.

Phase 0: Laying the Foundation
The project is currently in Phase 0, focused on building the testnet. Since its launch in November 2024, the Bless Extension Node has enabled users worldwide to contribute idle compute power through a simple browser extension. This phase has seen remarkable progress, with the network spanning every major region and supporting a growing developer community. The release of the Bless CLI allowed developers to deploy applications directly onto the network, resulting in web tools, automations, and games. External API calls were added recently, expanding possibilities for hybrid applications.
A key development is the integration with ElizaOS, a framework for AI agents, marking an early step toward decentralized AI infrastructure. The Genesis Build initiative also encourages developers to create innovative projects, offering rewards to highlight emerging talent.
Phase 1: Scaling Capability and Integrity
In the next phase, Bless aims to enhance its capabilities with the introduction of the Bless Desktop Node. This upgrade, designed for users willing to share more resources, will support GPU sharing and handle heavier workloads like real-time inference and parallel processing. The phase also includes an anti-sybil campaign to ensure rewards go to genuine contributors, distinguishing active node runners and builders from opportunistic participants.
This effort will maintain network integrity ahead of the mainnet launch, which will transition Bless into a scalable, developer-friendly alternative to traditional cloud infrastructure. According to Bless, this phase will solidify the network’s foundation for intelligent, interactive applications.
Phase 2: Maturing the Developer Experience
Following the mainnet launch, Phase 2 will focus on improving the developer experience. Bless plans to support pre-packaged workloads, such as Docker images, allowing teams to migrate existing services with minimal changes. Advanced Automated Scaling will automatically allocate additional nodes as demand grows, mimicking the ease of Web2 platforms while relying on decentralized resources. The Extension Node will gain WebGPU integration, enabling GPU contributions from modern browsers for tasks like graphics-heavy apps.
This phase aims to reduce friction for developers, letting them focus on building while the network handles resource coordination. The roadmap suggests this will make Bless a practical choice for serious application development.
Phase 3: Scaling Access and Incentives
The final phase will broaden access and refine rewards. Bless intends to add fiat and credit card payment options, making it easier for developers outside the Web3 space to purchase compute resources. This move could attract a wider audience, aligning with the network’s goal of accessibility. Dynamic Rewards will replace fixed incentives with a system tied to the actual value of contributed resources, based on uptime, availability, and demand.
This shift aims to create a sustainable ecosystem where contributors are fairly compensated. Bless emphasizes that these changes will support long-term growth, ensuring the network adapts to future needs.
Looking Ahead
The roadmap reflects Bless Network’s ambition to redefine compute infrastructure. From its current testnet with millions of nodes to planned features like AI agent support and dynamic incentives, the project is positioning itself as a platform for the next generation of software.
The mainnet launch will be a critical step, determining how effectively Bless can compete with centralized providers. While some details may adjust as the project progresses, the focus remains on empowering users and developers.
