A March 11 Happy Hour hosted by Shiba Inu is the first chance to view Shib the Metaverse.
The upcoming SXSW Festival and Conference in Austin, Texas, is a debutante affair for Shiba Inu, as the MemeFi project on Ethereum is holding the grand premiere of “Shib the Metaverse” at the major tech, film and music gathering.
First, Shiba is hosting a Happy Hour celebration on Saturday, March 11.
“Stop by the XR Exhibition and enjoy ‘The Dark VR’ immersive music video experience and ‘Shib the Metaverse’ first hand,” according to the SXSW schedule.
The actual presentations of the 4-minute-long Shib the Metaverse XR Experience take place Sunday-Tuesday March 12-14 as part of the broader “XR Experience Program” lineup.
The inclusion of Shiba in SXSW is a major opportunity for the Web3 project to connect with the mass Web2 and mainstream tech crowd, as well as SXSW attendees who are interested in music, film and culture.
Shiba Inu is an Ethereum-based altcoin that has the Shiba Inu—a Japanese breed of hunting dog—as its mascot. The SHIB token aspires to be an Ethereum-based alternative to Dogecoin (DOGE). Unlike Bitcoin, which is designed to be scarce, SHIB was created to be intentionally abundant — with a total supply of one quadrillion. The Shiba Inu Token ecosystem supports projects such as an NFT art incubator and the development of a decentralized exchange called Shibaswap.
