InterLink's Seoul Private Mainnet is officially live. The project announced on July 1, 2026 that app Version 6.0.0 had been pushed to users, marking the start of its on-chain era after more than a year of development. The update activates $ITLG staking, $ITL rewards, and the first stage of the network's real-world asset tooling, open to verified users.

"InterLink Version 6.0.0 is now live. InterLink Seoul Private Mainnet has officially been updated in the app," the team posted on X, inviting users to "explore the new chapter."

For a project that has grown to more than 9 million users even before launching a live chain, this is the moment the community has been waiting for. It is also, by the team's own framing, only the opening phase of a longer rollout.

InterLink (@inter_link) describes itself as a human-centric blockchain network for the age of AI. Its core idea is Proof of Personhood: smartphone-based identity verification using facial recognition and liveness detection, backed by phased KYC and a curator system. Each verified user becomes a sybil-resistant "Human Node," and the project's stated goal is a network where every participant is a real person rather than a bot.

The ecosystem has four main components:

  • InterLink App: The main gateway. Users verify their humanity, earn daily rewards as Human Nodes, hold an InterLink ID digital passport, make QR-code payments, and access mini-apps spanning games, chat, finance, and AI agents.
  • InterLink Chain: The project's own blockchain infrastructure, handling identity at what the team calls the Layer 0 level alongside on-chain settlement.
  • ITLX DeFi Wallet: The integrated wallet for on-chain holdings and ecosystem access, connected to the Seoul Private Mainnet infrastructure on June 23, ahead of the official launch.
  • Dual-token model: ITLG, the InterLink Genesis Token, is the user-facing asset earned through app activity and used for utility, governance, payments, and staking. ITL is the more institutional, reserve-focused token, typically earned as staking rewards on locked ITLG and used for access to the verified Human Layer.

The "Seoul" branding is a deliberate nod to South Korea's postwar economic transformation, the so-called Miracle on the Han River, which the team uses as a symbol for its own growth ambitions.

What Went Live on July 1?

The Version 6.0.0 update switches on several core functions at once:

  • ITLG staking, activated under the community-voted DAO Proposal #16, known as the "Balanced Growth" model
  • ITL rewards for stakers
  • The initial rollout of the Transaction-Backed Digital Asset Protocol, aimed at business tokenization and RWA integration
  • Payment infrastructure and a validator staking system for network security
  • Ongoing research into post-quantum cryptographic signatures

The ITLX wallet integration had already landed on June 23, meaning transactions were settling on InterLink's own chain infrastructure ahead of the full launch. During this phase, supply and staking rights stay within verified Human Nodes, a constraint the team says protects the network while utility builds up.

Why a Private Mainnet Instead of a Public Launch?

The "private" label matters. InterLink is not flipping a switch to a fully open network. Instead, it is running a controlled, gradual on-chain transition that prioritizes verified users and security over immediate broad access.

The rollout has followed a clear sequence:

Pre-Mainnet (2025 to mid-2026): App development through Version 5.0, which focused on KYC and the curator system. User growth past 9 million. Bounty Season 3 campaigns, wallet setup pushes, and DAO governance votes, including Proposal #16 on staking and conversion frameworks.

Migration and preparation (late June 2026): Security notices for migrating ITLG to on-chain verified ITLG, wallet integration with the Seoul infrastructure, and repeated warnings about seed phrase safety, 2FA, and scam avoidance through official channels only.

Seoul Private Mainnet launch (July 1, 2026 onward): Staking, rewards, initial dApps, RWA protocols, and payments go live, with access primarily limited to Human Nodes. Community updates around the migration have also referenced OTC trading as an early liquidity route.

Future phases: Roadmap signals point to hundreds of dApps targeted in the first year, a goal of 10,000 payment points, 100 corporate treasuries onboarded in 2026, further decentralization and compliance work, and quantum-resistant upgrades. A fuller public mainnet remains the implied end state, though the human-verified focus is meant to stay.

The phased structure gives the team room to test infrastructure, build liquidity organically, and work through a known pain point: KYC delays have drawn consistent community criticism, and verification throughput is expected to improve as validators come online. Chairman KV (@kv_interlink) addressed those frustrations directly in a public statement ahead of launch, in which he also committed to no Foundation token sales during the entire Private Mainnet phase, including OTC and VC sales, and said the project has enough funding to operate for at least five years.

What Comes Next?

Official posts describe the launch as "the beginning of Mainnet" and one phase in a longer process, with more infrastructure to be built on top.

The near-term questions are practical ones. How quickly can KYC verification scale to match 9 million-plus users? How smoothly will users migrate their ITLG to verified on-chain ITLG, and can the payments and RWA ambitions translate into working products within the first year?
