Binance and CR7 to Launch NFT

Binance has signed an exclusive multi-year partnership with football legend Cristiano Ronaldo to 'take football to the next level.'

According to details published by Binance on June 23, the Portugal and Manchester United striker will be releasing a series of Non-Fungible Token (NFT) collections on the Binance NFT platform through a multi-year partnership with the exchange. Additionally, Binance users in certain countries can purchase NFT of the football legend who owns five golden balls via Binance Pay, a peer-to-peer (P2P) cryptocurrency payment app.

Cristiano Ronaldo's first NFT collection will be released soon, with designs advised by the 37-year-old superstar himself.

"My relationship with the fans is significant to me, so the idea of bringing unprecedented experiences and access through this NFT platform is something I wanted to be a part of," expresses Ronaldo. "I know the fans are going to enjoy the collection as much as I do."

Meanwhile, Binance CEO Changpeng Zhao is excited about this relationship.

“Cristiano Ronaldo is one of the best soccer players at the moment. He has a huge fan base, thanks to his talent and philanthropy. We are honored to give his fans the exclusive opportunity to interact with Ronaldo and own a piece of sporting history,” CZ stated.

Binance previously sponsored the Argentine football team with the participation of another football legend, Lionel Messi. Besides, Binance also supports The Brazilian Football Confederation, the club S.S. Lazio (Italy), and FC Porto (Portugal).
