Binance has received the blessing from the Cyprus Securities and Exchange Commission to operate offer crypto services in Cyprus.
The world’s largest cryptocurrency exchange Binance announced that the Cyprus Securities and Exchange Commission has granted a Class 3 registration to Binance Cyprus Limited to act as a Crypto Asset Services Provider.
This registration allows Binance to offer cryptocurrency services in compliance with Anti-Money Laundering and Counter-Terrorist Financing (AML/CTF) requirements.
“Binance has some of the most thorough AML and CTF compliance policies in the industry. Recognition of the efforts we have made to be on the leading edge of compliance that our registration in Cyprus represents is testament to that.” Binance CEO Changpeng Zhao (CZ) said.
Binance positions itself as the world’s leading blockchain ecosystem and crypto-asset infrastructure provider with a financial product suite that includes the largest digital asset exchange by volume. The Binance platform aims to increase the freedom of money for users and features a comprehensive portfolio of crypto-asset products and offerings, including trading and finance, education, data and research, social good, investment and incubation, decentralization, and infrastructure solutions.
