Pi Network Unveils Major Pi2Day Upgrades
Pi Network marked Pi2Day 2026 on June 28 with the launch of SoloHost, Pi Sign In, and PiVerify, expanding its blockchain infrastructure, identity tools, and AI capabilities.

The Pi Core Team used Pi2Day 2026 to roll out three new features: SoloHost, Pi Sign In, and PiVerify. The updates touch three distinct pillars of the network, covering blockchain infrastructure, user identity, and AI capabilities. Full details are available inside the Pi mining app.
A Recurring Milestone for Product Launches
Pi2Day, observed annually on June 28, has firmly established itself as one of the most important recurring dates on Pi Network's calendar. The date itself derives from 6.28, a nod to double Pi in mathematics. The event is positioned as a recurring milestone for ecosystem releases and tooling. The Pi Core Team notes that last year's Pi2Day delivered Pi App Studio, AI-era positioning, ecosystem directory staking, and node and ranking upgrades, setting a precedent for concrete launches on the date.
The Pi Core Team framed Pi2Day 2026 as a genuinely pivotal moment for the global Pioneer community, not a passive announcement to watch from the sidelines, but an active opportunity to engage directly with the evolving ecosystem. The three new tools announced this year reflect that ambition. SoloHost expands the network's decentralised infrastructure layer, Pi Sign In introduces a streamlined identity login mechanism, and PiVerify strengthens user verification capabilities within the ecosystem.
Ecosystem Quest and Community Engagement
Alongside the product launches, Pi Network activated a dedicated Pi2Day Ecosystem Quest inside the app, giving users a structured way to test SoloHost, Pi Sign In, and PiVerify firsthand. Participants who complete the quest can earn an exclusive in-app badge.
The community engagement push follows a broader pattern that has defined Pi Network's recent strategy. The Pi Core Team reaffirmed that vibe coders building web apps with AI can make their apps accessible to 60 million or more engaged users, and run on built-in payments, identity, and ads infrastructure, by plugging into Pi Network. The new identity tools launched on Pi2Day sit directly within that roadmap, giving developers and users more robust verification and sign-in options as the ecosystem scales.
Pi2Day 2026 arrives as the network continues to develop its Open Mainnet presence and expand utility beyond its original mobile mining identity. The event highlights Pi Network's continued focus on utility, community-driven growth, and Open Mainnet expansion.
