What will Pi2Day 2026 Bring For Pioneers?
Pi Network's annual Pi2Day event lands on June 28, 2026. Here is what Pioneers need to know ahead of the announcement, including the Vibe Coder Campaign and the SLICE Testnet token on Pi Launchpad.

@PiCoreTeam is approaching its annual June 28 celebration, Pi2Day, with the community watching closely for the next major step in the network's ecosystem expansion.
Building on a Busy 2025 Cycle
Last year's Pi2Day set a high bar. Pi2Day 2025 introduced projects and major platform-level utilities around AI, Pi App Studio, and ecosystem engagement. Specifically, the event brought the launch of Pi App Studio, Directory Staking, and the protocol's first formal framework for addressing AI-era identity challenges. Ecosystem Directory Staking lets users stake Pi tokens to boost the visibility of apps they value. The central question heading into 2026 is which core infrastructure layer the team will unlock next to support broader on-chain participation.
Pi2Day is a moment to engage with new product releases and gain insight into the direction and priorities of the network. While the team has yet to disclose specific details, it confirmed that additional information will be released on June 28.
Two Campaigns Open Until Pi2Day
In the run-up to June 28, Pioneers have two active initiatives to engage with before the deadline.
The first is the Vibe Coder Campaign. This campaign builds on a recent Pi App Studio release that enables vibe coders, app creators using AI, to convert their apps built through platforms such as Codex, Claude Code, Replit, Cursor, Lovable, or other AI-assisted coding tools into Pi Apps. Posts can point vibe coders to Pi App Studio, explain how easily externally created apps can connect with Pi, and highlight how Pi offers access to the ecosystem's 60 million or more engaged users and infrastructure with built-in payments, identity, and ads. Pioneers can then submit the link to their post through the "Vibe Coder" button in the Pi mining app to join the raffle for Pi Network merchandise.
The second is the Pi Launchpad SLICE Testnet token. Pi Launchpad recently released its second Testnet token, SLICE, along with an improved participation flow and updated model. Unlike the first test, SLICE is connected to a real working app, Slice of Pi, rather than a demo, enabling Pi to collect genuine engagement data that can better inform the Launchpad design ahead of a Mainnet version. This second test token launch is designed to address issues identified by the first test launch and help Pioneers learn how Launchpad works in a safe Testnet environment. SLICE will never go on Mainnet.
During the first Launchpad test token, over 478,000 participating Pioneers staked a total of 36.05 million Test-Pi, over 198,000 Pioneers committed 14.72 million Test-Pi, and 11.71 million of the committed Test-Pi applied toward token acquisition for 10 million IRRA tokens. The SLICE launch builds directly on that data, with a streamlined commitment-first flow designed to reduce the friction that caused drop-off in the earlier round.
Both campaigns close on June 28, the same day Pi2Day announcements are expected.
