BSCN is the Top Staked App on Pi App Studio

BSCN Reaches Number One on Pi App Studio

Just hours after launching the BSCN Pioneer Brief inside @PiCoreTeam's Pi Browser, BSCN has claimed the top spot on Pi Network's App Studio rankings. As of writing, over 740,000 $PI has been staked by Pioneers and Businesses in support of BSCN, placing it above all other applications in the Pi ecosystem. BSCN is also now featured on the Pi Browser homepage as the "Top Staked App Studio" application.

The milestone is a direct result of Pi Network's Ecosystem Directory Staking mechanism, which provides a decentralized way for Pioneers and businesses to actively support and promote the ranking of Pi apps and utilities in the Ecosystem Interface. Pioneers and businesses stake their $PI on the Mainnet blockchain to directly boost an app's ranking, increasing its exposure to the Pi community and driving more impressions and user traffic.

How the Staking System Works

Originally introduced during Pi2Day 2025, Ecosystem Directory Staking allows users to stake $PI tokens on Mainnet to support applications and services listed in the Pi Browser ecosystem directory, acting as a decentralized ranking system that helps promising apps gain greater visibility. Importantly, there are no $PI rewards at the protocol level for staking, as the network does not promote one Pi app over another. The original staked amount is returned to users once the staking period ends.

The scale of community-driven staking can have a significant impact on an app's reach. For example, in less than one week after the CiDi Games beta launch, the app's ranking was organically boosted by 3.19 million staked $PI, which resulted in strong visibility and over 1.2 million game plays in under a week. BSCN's 740,000 $PI milestone, achieved within hours of the Pioneer Brief launch, signals strong early momentum from within the Pi community.

Ecosystem Directory Staking is especially useful as AI-assisted tools make it easier to create apps but more difficult to reach real users, offering developers and creators a way to use $PI for their apps to be discovered and supported by the over 60 million engaged Pioneers in the Pi ecosystem.
