Jasmy has released details on the first phase of its collaboration with Panasonic Advanced Technology Co., Ltd., an Osaka Prefecture firm with expertise in IoT systems. The partnership, which commenced in February 2024, aims to develop a platform that integrates personal data with information from connected devices utilizing blockchain technology.
This report highlights expansions to Jasmy's Personal Data Locker (PDL), the release of development tools, and initial applications in health and sports fan engagement, as part of efforts to enable secure data management.
Details of the Collaboration
The collaboration with Panasonic Advanced Technology, announced in March 2024, focuses on creating a Web3 IoT platform that links personal and device data under high security standards. Panasonic contributes its IoT knowledge and development capabilities, while Jasmy provides blockchain infrastructure, including the PDL.

In the first phase, Jasmy expanded PDL functions to include a smartphone app for iOS and Android, incorporating personal authentication via Japan's My Number Card system. This feature enables strict identity verification by reading the cards directly. Additionally, an authority delegation function was added, allowing users to transfer data usage rights without losing overall control. The PDL now handles time-series data from IoT devices, processing streams efficiently and securely.
Jasmy released an IoT Software Development Kit (SDK) in June 2025, available on its developer site at https://developer.jasmy.co.jp/. This kit supports integration of the PDL with smartphone and PC applications, simplifying connectivity for developers.
A key output is the Jasmy Base App, a smartphone framework that permits the addition of sub-apps. It manages personal information in linkage with the PDL and provides access to various Jasmy platform functions. This app has been tested in a health promotion walking rally proof-of-concept (PoC), involving several hundred participants over multiple months. The PoC uses smartphone-generated data to track and encourage physical activity.
The collaboration also extends to the Sagan Tosu Fan Token project, named "Sagatsu!". This service builds on the Jasmy Base App by incorporating blockchain-based coupons, points, and dynamic NFTs for membership cards. These features enable fan engagement through secure, tokenized rewards and digital collectibles, fostering a deeper connection between fans and their favorite content.
Future Plans for Platform Expansion
Jasmy and Panasonic intend to promote the Jasmy Base App in Japanese municipalities, enterprises, and schools to achieve broader adoption. The companies will continue their joint efforts to improve the app's core functions and further develop the platform. This includes leveraging their combined expertise to support nationwide rollout in Japan, with potential for global scaling.
The integration aligns with Japan's Society 5.0 initiative, which promotes the use of AI, IoT, and blockchain to create a highly intelligent society. Japan's government has shifted toward supportive Web3 policies, aiding projects like this.
Jasmy has also pursued other partnerships. In 2025, it collaborated with Chainlink for cross-chain interoperability and with Panasonic on pilots for monetizing data from industrial equipment. These efforts aim to enhance the platform's utility in diverse IoT applications.
The global IoT sector is projected to connect 40 billion devices by 2030, increasing the need for secure data management systems like Jasmy's platform.
Conclusion
Jasmy's collaboration with Panasonic demonstrates capabilities in integrating blockchain with IoT for secure data handling, as seen in PDL enhancements, SDK releases, and PoC applications. The platform's focus on user-controlled data management addresses key challenges in the growing IoT landscape, supported by partnerships and alignments with government policies. This positions Jasmy to contribute to data security in connected environments, emphasizing practical implementations over speculative gains.
