The funding will reportedly fuel the development of an expansive global gaming ecosystem and support the launch of the $ELIX token.
Elixir Games has successfully concluded its Seed funding round, raising $14 million, according to a press release shared with BSCN.
Among the notable investors in this Seed round are Square Enix, the Solana Foundation, and Shima Capital, alongside other private entities. According to reports, the funding will go toward launching the $ELIX token, which will power Elixir Games' products, along with the Launchpad & Incubation Program.
Investors were particularly drawn to Elixir's Launchpad & Incubation Program, which offered a simplified launch process for its portfolio of web3 gaming titles.
Carlos Roldan, the CEO of Elixir Games, expressed his excitement about this milestone.
“Today marks a growth moment for Elixir Games, fueling our mission to revolutionize the global gaming ecosystem,” said Carlos Roldan. “This achievement reflects our commitment to innovation, unity, and excellence in web3 gaming. As we embark on this journey, our focus is on fostering a community with our infrastructure that leads to groundbreaking gaming experiences.”
Looking ahead, Elixir Games has an ambitious roadmap for 2024.
The imminent release of the $ELIX token aims to simplify the web3 user experience. Subsequently, the launch of the Elixir Launchpad promises a seamless user experience, addressing existing gaps in the web3 gaming market. The Launchpad & Incubation platform, featuring a five-tier system, aims to unlock premium features and grant exclusive access to initial game offerings (IGO).
To further engage users, Elixir Games has introduced a promotional Season Pass on the Launcher platform. Players can unlock exciting prizes and rewards by playing various titles available via the Launcher starting April 4th.
Worth noting, Elixir Games’ flagship product, the Launcher platform, boasts over 130 diverse games and has generated a user base exceeding 500,000 registered unique users.
The success of Elixir Games in securing $14 million in funding comes amidst a broader momentum in blockchain gaming fundraising. Recent developments, such as lluvium Blockchain Gaming Protocol's $12 million Series A funding round, highlight the growing interest in the sector from investors.
The blockchain gaming industry generated $1.7 billion in rounds in 2023, indicating exciting prospects for innovators.
