This inscription marketplace facilitates the exploration and participation of crypto enthusiasts in the world of inscription tokens, including text, images, NFTs, and dApps.
Binance has officially launched its highly anticipated Inscriptions Marketplace, an integral part of its Web3 Wallet app. By making Web3 more accessible, Binance enables users to explore the emerging realm of inscription tokens.
These tokens, ranging from digital texts and images to non-fungible tokens (NFTs) and decentralized apps (dApps), are gaining popularity.
The Inscriptions Marketplace boasts key features designed to simplify the user experience:
Rohit Wad, Binance's Chief Technology Officer, highlighted the company's belief in the transformative potential of blockchain technology.
“With the Binance Inscriptions Marketplace, we hope to support the industry by providing a one-stop gateway for more people to explore, experiment, and benefit from inscription tokens,” Wad stated. “Our hope is that the streamlined process would simplify the experience and make it more enjoyable for everyone.”
To enhance liquidity and token availability, Binance has integrated the API of UniSat, a prominent ordinals and inscriptions marketplace. UniSat brings over 60,000 BRC-20 tokens to the marketplace, offering users a vast selection and liquidity.
Lorenzo, Director at UniSat, expressed optimism about Binance's move, foreseeing increased exploration of the inscription space by developers and crypto enthusiasts.
The Inscriptions Marketplace launch aligns with Binance's broader strategy to make Web3 more user-friendly. Recent upgrades to the Web3 Wallet app, including support for new chains, improved swapping capabilities, and integration with 19 decentralized apps.
Inscription tokens encompass various fungible cryptographic tokens that facilitate the creation of unique digital artifacts on blockchains. BRC-20 tokens, particularly those minted using the Ordinals protocol on the Bitcoin blockchain, have gained popularity in this space.
The surge in minting volumes for inscriptions, notably BRC-20s, began in March 2023, according to Binance Research.
