GRAM Pumps as TON Rebrand Takes Effect Across Ecosystem
The Open Network officially renames its native token from Toncoin to GRAM on June 15, 2026, with major exchanges including Binance, Bybit, and KuCoin coordinating a seamless 1:1 liquidity migration.

@Ton_blockchain has officially transitioned its native utility token from $TON to $GRAM, reverting to the original asset identity outlined in the project's 2018 whitepaper. Pavel Durov announced the rebrand on June 1, restoring the identity the project carried before the SEC forced Telegram to abandon its entire blockchain effort. The change took effect on June 15, 2026, and $GRAM has since posted a gain of around 4% on the news.
A Rebrand, Not a Token Swap
The decision followed a community governance vote that received 81.22% support, with voting running on the TON Vote platform from June 1 to June 8, 2026. Crucially, holders are not required to take any action. No token swap, migration, bridge transfer, or claim process is required, and existing balances, wallet addresses, staking positions, smart contracts, NFTs, Jettons, and DeFi assets continue functioning exactly as before.
The blockchain itself retains the name The Open Network (TON), with only the token's display name, ticker, and logo changing. All holdings are undergoing a seamless 1:1 conversion across major infrastructure providers, including @Wallet_tg, @Tonkeeper, and @Mytonwallet_io.
The rename is the fourth of seven steps in Durov's Make TON Great Again campaign. Steps disclosed so far include a network upgrade making TON ten times faster with sub-second transaction settlement, a sixfold reduction in transaction fees, Telegram replacing the TON Foundation as the ecosystem's primary steward and largest validator, and now the token rename.
Exchanges Coordinate Liquidity Migration
Major exchanges including @Bitget, @Kucoincom, and @Bybit_Official are synchronizing delisting and relisting schedules to manage the liquidity migration. @Binance has outlined one of the more detailed transition timelines. Binance will remove all TON spot trading pairs at 03:00 UTC on June 30, with affected pairs including TON/FDUSD, TON/IDR, TON/TRY, TON/USDT, and others. Trading for the newly branded $GRAM token is then scheduled to begin at 8:00 a.m. UTC on July 2, with Binance listing seven initial trading pairs including GRAM/USDT and GRAM/USDC.
Binance has confirmed it will handle all technical requirements for affected users, swapping TON tokens to GRAM at a ratio of 1 TON to 1 GRAM. Users holding $TON on the exchange are not required to take any manual steps.
