Pi Network Makes New Push For AI Developers

Pi Network (@PiCoreTeam) is making a concerted push to attract AI developers to its ecosystem ahead of Pi2Day on June 28, using a community-driven raffle campaign and its existing app-building platform to recruit what it calls "vibe coders."

The Vibe Coder campaign asks Pioneers to introduce AI-assisted app builders to Pi App Studio. Participants can submit one qualifying social post through the Pi mining app and enter a raffle for Pi merchandise. The effort is focused on vibe coder communities, where developers build apps using AI tools rather than writing code from scratch.

Creators, who may be technical developers or non-technical product people, can build apps using platforms such as Codex, Claude Code, Replit, Cursor, Lovable or other AI-assisted coding tools, and then use Pi App Studio to convert those externally created apps into Pi Apps. The new option provides tailored copy-and-paste prompts that creators can use in external AI tools to integrate the Pi SDK, verify the setup, and add Pi payments.

With Pi2Day 2026 just days away, Pi Network is encouraging its community to participate in two ongoing ecosystem initiatives before they conclude on June 28. The campaigns focus on expanding app development, testing new Launchpad features and gathering user feedback.

What Pi App Studio Offers Developers

Vibe coders and creators from all over can now tap into Pi Network's massive user base of over 60 million Engaged Pioneers by easily bringing their AI-created apps to Pi's real distribution network and utility ecosystem through Pi App Studio.

Pi also provides infrastructure such as Pi signin, Pi Wallets, identity verification, SDKs, platform resources, Pi Ad Network, payments capabilities, decentralised human infrastructure, and more, reducing the need for creators to build these systems from scratch.

This initiative is based on the strategy that, as AI dramatically lowers the barrier of building software like apps, tools, and online services, the competition for distribution is more and more fierce, and Pi Network can offer solutions.

Pi Network's Pi2Day event on June 28 is positioned as a recurring milestone day for ecosystem releases and tooling. The Pi Core Team notes that last year's Pi2Day delivered Pi App Studio, AI-era positioning, ecosystem directory staking, and node and ranking upgrades, setting a precedent for concrete launches on this date.
