$Pengu Unlocks New Utility Powered By Visa
Pudgy Penguins has officially launched physical Pengu Cards in partnership with Visa and KAST, enabling holders to spend digital assets at over 150 million merchants across 170+ countries.

Pudgy Penguins Takes $PENGU Into Everyday Spending
@PudgyPenguins has officially launched physical Pengu Cards in partnership with @Visa and @KASTxyz, giving $PENGU holders a direct way to spend their digital assets in the real world. The card is available across more than 170 countries and over 150 million merchants globally.
The Pengu Card lives within the KAST ecosystem as a co-branded Visa card, functioning like a standard KAST card: users fund their balance and spend anywhere Visa is accepted. The card lets users pay directly with stablecoins or cryptocurrencies such as the $PENGU token at Visa-enabled merchants, without needing to move funds to a centralised exchange first — KAST handles conversion behind the scenes at the point of purchase.
Cards can be ordered directly through the @KASTxyz mobile application, keeping the process within the existing ecosystem. The card comes in three tiers — Standard, Black, and Gold — with Standard offering around 6% cashback, Black lifting that to roughly 8%, and Gold reaching up to 12% depending on activity and region. Users can also earn up to 7% yield on balances held within the platform.
A Broader Shift From NFTs to Consumer Finance
Originally a collection of 8,888 NFTs minted in 2021, Pudgy Penguins has steadily extended into physical retail, gaming, and now consumer payments. The Pengu Card represents the most direct push yet into everyday finance — one that gives Pudgy Penguins access to KAST's compliance infrastructure and global card network, making crypto spending feel frictionless even for users with no prior experience in decentralised finance.
By simplifying the payment flow, the project lowers the barrier for non-technical users — instead of navigating exchanges or custodial services, holders gain a familiar debit card interface on top of their crypto balances.
The move reflects a broader pattern taking shape across Web3 in 2026, as projects that established their value through collectibles and community race to deliver practical financial tools. For Pudgy Penguins, the Visa partnership offers a well-recognised payment backbone, reassuring merchants that they are interacting with a known network while the project continues to innovate at the crypto layer.
Earlier in 2026, news of the card initiative helped drive meaningful market interest. The February 2026 announcement of the waitlist pushed the $PENGU token up approximately 10% in a matter of hours, reflecting clear demand from the community for tangible financial products tied to the brand.
