LinkersMap is Powering Real-World Commerce on Interlink Mainnet
LinkersMap has officially moved from testnet to the InterLink Mainnet, becoming the network's first decentralized app and enabling merchants to register stores and settle transactions using the $ITL token.
From Testnet to Mainnet: A Commerce Layer Goes Live
@LinkersMap has officially graduated from testnet and deployed on the InterLink Mainnet, making it the first decentralized application to go live on the @Inter_link network. The move marks a concrete step toward connecting verified businesses with the on-chain economy, allowing merchants to register physical stores and settle transactions directly on-chain using $ITL.
The platform functions as a global marketplace where users can discover businesses, browse products, and pay with digital assets. Merchants who join gain access to a payment rail that processes transactions on the InterLink chain, with every purchase generating on-chain activity tied to real commercial use rather than speculation.
According to the InterLink whitepaper, the underlying chain is described as "a decentralized blockchain network built for humans that anchors identity, reputation, and economic coordination." LinkersMap sits directly on top of that infrastructure, giving the network its first live proof of commercial utility.
Early Traction and the Role of $ITL
Within its first two weeks of operation, LinkersMap attracted 700 registered businesses and drew more than 79,000 visitors, generating over 376,000 page views, according to reporting from CoinGabbar. That kind of early activity is notable for any new platform, particularly one built on a blockchain still in its early rollout phase.
The $ITL token plays a central role in the commerce layer. According to the InterLink dual-token model, $ITL is the external payment token built for spendability across shopping, services, and merchant settlements, while $ITLG serves as the internal participation and governance token. By routing real transactions through $ITL, LinkersMap gives the token a spending use case that goes beyond wallet transfers and gas fees.
The platform also introduced the LMP token, a fixed-supply utility asset that works alongside $ITL and is built on the InterLink network, designed specifically to support business activity within the LinkersMap marketplace environment. A full whitepaper covering LMP parameters is expected to follow.
Long-term success will depend on merchant participation, user growth, and sustained execution. InterLink's broader payment infrastructure is targeting 10,000 payment points globally, though that remains an objective rather than a completed milestone.
