InterLink turns its ITL token into a real-world spending engine with Amazon
InterLink has launched ITLX Pay, enabling users to buy Amazon Gift Cards with crypto inside the app and redeem them across millions of Amazon products worldwide, with $ITL set as the next native payment asset.

@inter_link has taken a concrete step toward giving its ecosystem real spending power. Through ITLX Pay, its own native crypto payment infrastructure built into the InterLink app, users can now purchase Amazon Gift Cards using crypto and redeem them on @amazon across millions of products worldwide.
Stablecoins First, $ITL Next
The rollout is phased. In the current phase, stablecoins are the accepted payment method, giving users immediate real-world utility for their crypto assets without exposure to price volatility. As the ecosystem matures, $ITL is next in line as the native payment asset inside ITLX Pay, the point at which everyday Amazon purchases would begin generating direct, organic demand for the token rooted in real commercial activity.
InterLink describes the Amazon integration as the first major real-world use case for its network, and frames it as an opening move on the path to 10,000 payment points worldwide. The project operates a dual-token model: $ITLG as the main governance and utility token, and $ITL as the token designated for external payments, liquidity, and treasury purposes. Routing consumer spending through $ITL fits squarely within that design intent.
A Network Built Around Verified Humans
The InterLink Chain introduces Proof of Personhood, a consensus mechanism that secures the network by ensuring only verified human users can participate as validators. Unlike Proof of Work, which relies on computational power, or Proof of Stake, which depends on token ownership, it ties validation directly to real human identities through biometric data.
As of early 2026, InterLink had surpassed 5 million verified human users, positioning it as one of the largest real-identity Web3 networks. The network targets 10,000 payment points globally, with sub-cent transaction fees and identity-gated settlement enabling real-world commerce directly on-chain.
The dual-token architecture maintains a clear separation between community governance functions ($ITLG) and institutional utility applications ($ITL), enabling scalable expansion across both individual and enterprise use cases. Whether adoption follows the roadmap will depend on execution. But the Amazon Gift Card integration marks a shift from roadmap promises to a working product that users can access today.
