$INJ Surges Past $6 Following Staking Launch on Binance U.S

$INJ Surges Past $6 Following Staking Launch on Binance U.S

@Injective's native token $INJ has climbed roughly 12% in the past 24 hours after @BinanceUS officially launched native INJ staking for United States users, pushing the token above $6 for the first time this year.

What the Staking Integration Offers

The new @BinanceUS staking product lets retail participants earn weekly rewards on their $INJ holdings while retaining the flexibility to unstake from the Injective network. Injective is a Layer 1 blockchain built for finance, supporting an ecosystem spanning DeFi, real-world assets, prediction markets, and AI applications. The @BinanceUS listing itself went live in mid-May, with spot trading for the INJ/USDT pair launching at 7:00 AM EDT on May 14, followed by confirmation of plans to introduce native INJ staking support for U.S. users.

The staking mechanics sit on top of Injective's proof-of-stake design. The INJ token powers the ecosystem through staking, governance, and a deflationary burn mechanism where 60% of all fees generated by applications on the network are auctioned off weekly and burned. Roughly 58% of INJ supply is currently staked, removing a large amount of liquidity from the market, meaning any sustained increase in demand has an outsized effect on price.

Broader Momentum Behind the Move

The staking launch is the latest in a series of U.S.-focused developments for the project. In April 2026, the first U.S.-regulated Injective futures launched on Bitnomial Exchange, a CFTC-regulated designated contract market. In addition, Canary Capital has filed with the SEC for a staked INJ ETF.

The recent price surge has also been anchored to a concrete utility milestone: Injective processed a record $3.57 billion in daily tokenized-equity volume, amplified by a cluster of U.S.-focused regulatory developments including the launch of regulated INJ futures on Bitnomial and an ETF filing.

On the tokenomics side, the Injective core development team confirmed that its Community Buyback and Burn system went live in mid-May, using accumulated dApp fee revenue across the network to automatically purchase INJ tokens on the open market and permanently burn them, creating a supply-side dynamic in which growing network usage directly reduces circulating supply.

$INJ is now trading above $6, a level it had not reached since the start of 2026. Traders will be watching whether it can hold that mark as a new support zone.
