Binance Alpha Removes 23 Tokens In Mass Purge
Binance Alpha is removing 23 tokens including $REX, $TANSSI, $YALA, $EDGEN, and others effective April 30, 2026, following a routine review of liquidity, volume, and project standards.

@Binance has confirmed the removal of 23 digital assets from its Binance Alpha platform, effective April 30, 2026 at 09:30 UTC. The tokens cut from the featured list are $REX, $XO, $TANSSI, $DARKSTAR, $YALA, $RCADE, $RDAC, $SKATE, $OVL, $SLAY, $Ghibli (SOL), $Ghibli (BSC), $PHY, $VLR, $SVSA, $WBAI, $EDGEN, $FAIR3, $MM, $BUBB, $AICell, $XLAB, and $SIGHT.
Why the Tokens Were Removed
Binance Alpha announced it had delisted the 23 altcoins following a comprehensive review that included factors such as liquidity and trading volume. The exchange operates a structured evaluation framework that covers both quantitative and qualitative criteria. Quantitative metrics include volume stability, depth of liquidity, on-chain transaction frequency, and token holder distribution, while qualitative criteria cover project team credibility, regulatory compliance, ecosystem synergies, and community visibility. If these criteria are not met, the token is removed from Binance Alpha.
This is not an isolated event. Binance has accelerated its delisting pace in 2026, and today's action represents one of its largest single-batch removals from the Alpha platform to date. The move underscores a broader shift in how the exchange manages its early-stage discovery layer.
What Is Binance Alpha and What Happens Next
Binance Alpha is a curated pre-listing pool that highlights promising new projects with growth potential in the Web3 ecosystem before they may be considered for full exchange listing. A presence on the platform has historically been seen as a stepping stone toward a main Binance listing, making removal a meaningful setback for affected projects.
Binance has stated that users can still sell and withdraw funds even after these tokens are delisted. Holders of the affected assets are advised to act promptly. Selling via the Binance Wallet market tab or through the Alpha assets section remain the primary exit routes ahead of the deadline.
For investors, the Alpha reshuffle is a reminder that small-cap and early-stage tokens carry inherent risk, even when featured on a major platform. The pattern of recurring clean-ups signals that @Binance is moving toward a more selective and standards-driven ecosystem, where underperforming projects face swift removal rather than being left to stagnate.
