Chainlink Activates Real-Time Data Feeds For Megaeth Token Launch
Chainlink integrates MegaETH's MEGA token into its Data Feeds and low-latency Data Streams at mainnet launch, giving DeFi protocols like GMX immediate access to verifiable, real-time price data.

@Chainlink has officially extended its oracle infrastructure to @MegaETH at the moment of the network's mainnet debut, integrating the $MEGA token directly into its industry-standard Data Feeds and low-latency Data Streams from day one.
MegaETH joined the Chainlink Scale program and adopted Chainlink's data and interoperability standards via Data Feeds, Data Streams, and the Cross-Chain Interoperability Protocol (CCIP). The timing is deliberate — the integration was live at the moment of launch, meaning $MEGA entered the market with oracle infrastructure already in place rather than having to wait for it to follow.
Day-One Access for DeFi Protocols
The practical effect is immediate availability across on-chain finance. Decentralised applications including @GMX_IO, @DecibelTrade, and @katanaperps can now access verifiable, real-time price discovery for the $MEGA asset. According to the official MegaETH blog, Chainlink's day-one launch gives MegaETH users immediate access to top DeFi protocols and nearly $14B in assets, including Lido's wstETH and Lombard's BTC.b and LBTC.
The Data Streams component is particularly relevant for perpetual and derivatives markets. DeFi protocols on MegaETH can read fresh data directly, reducing latency and improving precision for derivatives, stablecoins, and prediction markets. Data Streams are embedded as a native precompile, eliminating the need for complex offchain infrastructure and giving any contract immediate access to live prices while maintaining full onchain composability.
Infrastructure Built for Real-Time Finance
The choice of @Chainlink as the oracle layer reflects the scale of its existing footprint. Chainlink's infrastructure has already enabled over $27 trillion in onchain transaction value and currently powers nearly 70% of DeFi markets. MegaETH is itself engineered for high throughput — it is positioned as the first real-time blockchain, secured by Ethereum, with 10-millisecond block times and up to 100,000 transactions per second.
The CCIP component adds cross-chain reach on top of price data. MegaETH has adopted Chainlink's interoperability standard powered by CCIP, enabling asset issuers such as Lombard and Lido to access cross-chain liquidity between MegaETH and other ecosystems, and allowing developers to build composable cross-chain applications.
By embedding Chainlink infrastructure at launch, @MegaETH positions $MEGA for immediate eligibility within collateral tiers and perpetual markets across the on-chain finance ecosystem — rather than waiting for oracle support to catch up after the fact.
