Chainlink Ccip Brings $20m+ In Cbbtc To Monad

@chainlink has brought Coinbase's wrapped Bitcoin, $cbBTC, to Monad through its Cross-Chain Interoperability Protocol, with more than $20 million in supply already deployed on the high-performance layer 1 blockchain.

Chainlink CCIP serves as the exclusive bridging infrastructure for @coinbase wrapped assets, a arrangement that gives @monad direct access to institutional-grade Bitcoin liquidity as its decentralised finance ecosystem continues to take shape.

The move is an early signal of cross-chain $BTC liquidity finding its way onto Monad, which launched its mainnet earlier this year and has been positioning itself as a venue for high-throughput DeFi activity. With $cbBTC now live on the network, Monad gains a credible Bitcoin-backed asset without relying on less established bridging solutions, a consideration that has grown increasingly important to protocols and users focused on security and reliability.
