Zepz Launches Sendwave Wallet: The Next Evolution in Global Payments

On October 22, 2025, Zepz, the parent company of WorldRemit and Sendwave, launched the Sendwave Wallet: a stablecoin-backed digital wallet that enables users to send, store, and spend money across more than 100 countries.

What Is the Sendwave Wallet?

The Sendwave Wallet is a peer-to-peer cross-border payment solution built on stablecoin infrastructure. Users can open a digital dollar balance within the Sendwave app and transact with other Sendwave users in near real-time. The wallet holds funds in USDC, a stablecoin pegged to the US dollar, providing stability against currency fluctuations.

Technical Infrastructure

Zepz has partnered with three blockchain infrastructure providers for the wallet… 

Circle provides USDC, the stablecoin that powers the wallet's transactions. 

Solana serves as the blockchain network, chosen for its speed, scalability, and low transaction costs. 

Portal supplies the borderless wallet infrastructure.

Kash Razzaghi, Chief Commercial Officer at Circle, emphasized the wallet's practical benefits: 

"By making USDC central to the Sendwave Wallet, customers gain a secure way to hold value, send near-instantly, and spend with confidence in their daily lives."

Key Features

The Sendwave Wallet allows customers to send money instantly to other Sendwave Wallet users, store funds in a dollar-pegged stablecoin, withdraw USDC to local fiat currency through Zepz's global payout network, and access funds without typical cryptocurrency wallet complexity.
