This integration reportedly enhances the gaming experience and facilitates seamless transfers of in-game tokens and NFTs across different chains.
South Korea's gaming giant Wemade and Chainlink have announced the integration of Chainlink's Cross-Chain Interoperability Protocol (CCIP) on WEMIX.
This collaboration sets the stage for the highly anticipated global launch of the Web3 game NIGHT CROWS on March 12 in 170 countries, according to a press release shared with BSC News.
The integration of unagi(x) powered by CCIP is a significant step, as it spans six chains: WEMIX, Kroma, Avalanche, BNB Chain, Ethereum, and Polygon.
This integration enables players to transfer in-game tokens and NFTs effortlessly between different chains, offering a versatile and interconnected gaming experience.
Reports suggest that the decision to integrate CCIP was influenced by its advanced features, including programmable token transfers and a standardized interface for omnichain application development. This strategic move aims to enhance the gaming experience for NIGHT CROWS players and streamline the management of in-game assets.
Additionally, the integration introduces the "una Wallet," which allows users to manage their assets and transfer assets across supported networks.
In a parallel development, Metis, the permissionless Ethereum layer-2 network, has set its sights on revolutionizing cross-chain interoperability by integrating Chainlink's CCIP. This move, announced on March 1, is expected to elevate the Metis ecosystem, enhancing both user and developer experiences and accelerating widespread adoption.
Metis plans to initially focus on bridging leading stablecoins from Ethereum's mainnet onto the Metis network. As the integration progresses, additional blockchain networks and tokens are expected to be supported, further solidifying the growth trajectory of the Metis ecosystem.
