Solana has seen several meaningful updates across DeFi, real-world assets, mobile infrastructure, and cross chain connectivity. These updates include fresh funding rounds, new trading tools, RWA expansion, mobile tokenomics, a cross chain bridge to Base, and pending approval for a Solana ETF.

These changes help demonstrate the chain’s role as a high throughput environment for trading, lending, gaming, and asset mobility.

Asgard Finance Raises $2.2M

Asgard Finance has completed a $2.2 million seed round led by Robot Ventures, with participation from Solana Ventures, Colosseum, Primal, Presto, mtnDAO, and Dead King Society. The project builds a structured trading system on Solana called Credit Backed Positions, or CBP.

What Is CBP?

CBP lets users open credit backed accounts that can borrow against collateral to execute leveraged strategies. Test users have created more than $35 million in CBP positions, showing early demand.

The platform provides:

• Credit accounts that allow borrowing against collateral
• Leveraged trading with long and short positions up to ten times
• Limit order support with fragmented execution
• Non custodial access where users keep control of funds
• Integration with Solana protocols for advanced strategies

A practical example is a user opening a credit account with SOL collateral, borrowing stablecoins, and deploying them into yield strategies on protocols like Kamino or Raydium. This design keeps the interaction on chain and lets users move capital without giving custody to a centralized operator.

Asgard’s structure aligns with Solana’s low latency and composability, making it easier to blend leverage, staking, and yield strategies in a single workflow.

BisonFi Enters the Solana Trading Landscape

Forward Industries has launched BisonFi, a proprietary automated market maker designed for professional and institutional traders. Forward is a digital asset treasury company that deploys capital on chain and operates validators. It has received backing from Jump and Galaxy.

BisonFi allows traders to build custom market making strategies using their own capital. It joins a growing group of trading tools on Solana that includes Drift Protocol, Kamino, and Jupiter Exchange.

Solana’s speed makes it suitable for advanced execution strategies that require low latency, and BisonFi’s approach supports that use case.

Real World Assets Expands on Solana

Figure has launched the RWA Consortium with several partners to bring real world yield to Solana users.

What Does the Consortium Do?

The consortium connects institutional lending systems with DeFi tools. It links loan origination, liquid staking, borrowing markets, wallets, and cross chain oracle infrastructure into one structure.

Figure already originates more than one billion dollars in onchain loans each month. Its total onchain loan origination volume exceeds nineteen billion dollars. The new initiative brings these pipelines to Solana.

Introduction of PRIME

A new token called PRIME, issued by Hastra and backed by Figure’s real estate loan pools, is now live on Solana. It gives users exposure to yields from Figure’s loan products, such as home equity credit lines.

Prime partners include:

• Kamino
• Raydium
• Gauntlet
• Privy

Together these groups manage origination, liquidity, modeling, and user access. It allows a user with one hundred dollars to join the same pool as larger credit institutions. This builds a clearer connection between real world lending and DeFi tools.

Solana and Base, Coinbase’s Layer 2 network, are now connected through a new bridge that uses Chainlink’s Cross Chain Interoperability Protocol. This is the first time Base has linked to a non EVM chain through a dedicated bridge.

The bridge supports:

• SOL and SPL tokens moving to Base
• Base assets moving to Solana
• Token transfers across apps without extra steps
• Better liquidity access for developers and traders

How the Bridge Works

The system uses a dual validation model. Every message sent across the bridge must be verified by Coinbase and by Chainlink node operators. Both must agree for the transfer to complete. This provides redundancy and reduces the risk of incorrect messages.

Solana uses Proof of History, which orders events in a verifiable sequence. Base is part of the Ethereum ecosystem through the Optimism stack. Because the two networks run on different systems, Chainlink CCIP acts as a translation and verification layer.

Early integrations include Zora, Aerodrome, Virtuals, Flaunch, and Relay. For example, a Solana user could send an SPL token into an Aerodrome liquidity pool on Base without using a centralized exchange.

Solana Mobile Reveals SKR Token Distribution

Solana Mobile has released details on the tokenomics for the SKR token, scheduled to launch in January 2026. SKR supports decentralized governance and rewards within the Solana Mobile ecosystem built around the Seeker smartphone.

Background on the Seeker Smartphone

The Seeker is Solana Mobile’s second device after the Saga. It launched in August 2025 with over one hundred fifty thousand pre orders. The phone includes features for secure crypto interaction, such as a Seed Vault wallet and hardware based authentication.

Users can stake tokens, interact with dApps, swap assets, and run decentralized physical infrastructure applications. These actions contribute to user rewards and the mobile ecosystem.

What Does SKR Do?

SKR can be staked to Guardians. Guardians verify device authenticity and review dApp submissions. This ensures that apps meet security standards and that hardware remains verified.

Initial Guardians include:

• Helius Labs
• DoubleZero
• Triton One
• Jito
• Anza
• Solana Mobile

SKR also supports governance. Holders can vote on treasury use, updates, and partner programs.

SKR Tokenomics

Total supply: 10 billion tokens.

Distribution:

• 30% for airdrops
• 25% for growth and partnerships
• 15% to the Solana Mobile team
• 10% for liquidity and launch
• 10% to Solana Labs
• 10% for the community treasury

SKR uses a linear inflation model beginning at 10% in the first year. The inflation rate decreases by 25% each year until reaching a long term rate of 2%. Airdrops reward Seeker users based on real engagement such as staking, running apps, and interacting with the Solana ecosystem.

Trump Billionaires Club Introduces New Use Case for TRUMP Memecoin

The team behind the TRUMP memecoin has launched a new mobile and web game called the Trump Billionaires Club. It uses the TRUMP token for in game actions and asset trading.

The game is built by Freedom45Games LLC and uses licensed Trump themed content. It is not connected to Donald J. Trump or his organizations. The structure follows a 3D empire building format where players roll dice, buy property, run businesses, complete tasks, and compete for leaderboard positions.

OpenLoot handles digital item storage and transactions. This setup gives TRUMP a functional role during a period of market decline for the token. TRUMP reached an $8.8 billion market cap during the 2025 inauguration but later fell below $1.16 billion. The game aims to stabilize usage through steady activity.

Invesco Galaxy Solana ETF Moves Closer to Launch

Invesco Galaxy has filed a Form 8 A with the Securities and Exchange Commission for its Solana ETF, QSOL. A Form 8 A filing usually occurs right before an ETF begins trading.

The ETF is set to list on the Cboe BZX Exchange. Invesco added $100,000 in seed capital by purchasing 4,000 Solana shares. An independent audit has confirmed that the fund is ready to operate pending final approval.

If the approval arrives quickly, QSOL could begin trading within days. This would mark another institutional entry point for Solana exposure.

Conclusion

Solana’s recent updates highlight its capabilities across DeFi leverage, structured trading, AMMs, cross chain transfers, real world assets, mobile governance, and ETF readiness. These developments show the network’s ability to support high throughput applications and integrate new financial tools while maintaining onchain transparency.
