Due to “high investor demand”, leading Ethereum L2 LightLink has officially extended its seed funding round, welcoming leading investors and influencers to its cap table.

Leading Ethereum layer-2, LightLink, has announced a full $6.2 million in fresh venture funding, facilitated by the extension of its seed-stage investment round.

The extension is the result of “high investor demand”, according to an official release.

LightLink’s original seed round saw the project accrue some $4.5 million from participants such as Blue7, and Aweh ventures.

However, the round’s extension has seen leading investors join the project’s cap table, including the widely-renowned MH Ventures. Participants in the $6.2 million extension include, but are not limited to investors and KOLs such as…

The addition of several high-profile crypto influencers seems to show an understanding of the Web3 marketing landscape by LightLink, and their involvement could prove pivotal to the long-term success and widespread nature of its ecosystem.

"Our mission at LightLink is to make blockchain practical and accessible. This investment will help us continue building a Web3 ecosystem for millions of users from our enterprise partners and enhance our proprietary technology for gasless transactions."

... said LightLink co-founder and CEO, Roy Hui. However, Kamran Iqbal, co-founder of MH Ventures also shared comment on the announcement…

“LightLink is at the tip of the spear when it comes to providing gasless transactions to the market, and we are incredibly excited to help support the team to build the next generation of DeFi projects.”

What is LightLink?

LightLink is first and foremost and Ethereum layer-2 network with multiple unique offerings designed to set it apart from the growing L2 ecosystem.

Perhaps most excitingly, it offers users the ability to interact with the blockchain world, whilst abstracting away frictional components such as gas payments. It is in this way that the project aims to “drive mass adoption to Web3”.
