With its rapidly increasing user base, Ice Open Network (ION) has continued to improve its ecosystem. Most recently, ION announced a $500 giveaway of $ICE tokens targeted at the Online+ community. The promotion selected 20 participants, each of whom received $25 directly into their Online+ wallets. However, the current data, as of writing, shows that the number of on-chain addresses has hit 1M. This growth reflects increased user engagement, driven by platform features and community initiatives like the $ICE giveaway.

This threshold is a key indicator of ION's scalability, a horizontally scalable layer-1 blockchain capable of handling millions of transactions per second. Since launch, ION has onboarded over 40 million community members and activated more than 200 validators.
