Summary
CAMPFIRE, the operator of Japan's leading crowdfunding platform, has today announced its entry into the web3 business. The company introduced its newly established subsidiary, Livefor Co., Ltd, according to Yahoo Japan.
Livefor's mission encompasses the creation of a community platform, incorporating cutting-edge AI and blockchain technology. Furthermore, Livefor intends to venture into the world of NFTs (Non-Fungible Tokens) and DAOs (Decentralized Autonomous Organizations), capitalizing on the transformative potential of web3 technology.
Notably, the new subsidiary was officially established on June 8, 2023, with an initial capital injection of 50 million yen. Livefor will be led by two capable representatives, Koyo Shirakawa and Kenichiro Fujisaki. Mr. Shirakawa previously served as the lead engineer for the token-issuing crowdfunding service "FiNANCiE" in 2019, while Mr. Fujisaki held executive roles at Mercari/Souzo before assuming the position of CAMPFIRE's executive officer and COO in 2022.
CAMPFIRE's expansion into the web3 space through Livefor marks a significant step forward in the evolution of crowdfunding and community services, showcasing its commitment to innovative technological advancements.
