The Shanghai/Capella update (Shapella) is scheduled to be deployed on the Ethereum Sepolia testnet on Feb. 28, enabling staking withdrawals.
Ethereum’s next big update after The Merge is inching nearer, as the Shanghai/Capella (Shapella) upgrade is scheduled for deployment on the Sepolia testnet.
“This upgrade follows The Merge and enables validators to withdraw their stake from the Beacon Chain back to the execution layer. It also introduces new functionality to both the execution and consensus layer,” the Ethereum Foundation said in a blog post.
The upgrade is scheduled for just after 4 a.m. UTC on Feb. 28.
After the Sepolia deployment, an announcement will be made about the Goerli testnet and Ethereum mainnet.
