From the announcement of a new roadmap update to the conclusion of the first cohort of its accelerator program, the month of October has been marked by a series of interesting developments within the Cronos Ecosystem. Here is a look at some of them:

• New roadmap update: Published at the close of Q3, the updated roadmap details the developments and upgrades to be implemented on Cronos Chain within the next 12 months. Some of the developments expected on the network include the third major upgrade to the chain, Cronos Rollups, and Cronos Next Level, which will enable the Cronos ecosystem to onboard hundreds of millions of people to Web3, and further enhancements to the visibility and discoverability of Decentralized Applications (dApps) running on the chain.
• Batch 5 of Cronos Ecosystem Grants: On Oct. 3, Cronos announced the recipients of its fifth batch of Cronos Ecosystem Grants. Launched on Dec. 8, 2021, the Cronos Ecosystem Grant program was set up by Cronos to give support to early-stage projects deployed on the chain by bootstrapping initial product development and also providing the required technical support. The recipients of the fifth batch of the Cronos Ecosystem Grant include Bitquery, OpenLeverage, Unmarshal, Kairos, Hummingbot, Market.xyz and SubQuery.
• Cronos Accelerator Program: The first cohort of the Cronos Accelerator Program concluded their term with a demo day which took place on Oct. 5. The Cronos Accelerator Program, launched in June, is a 10-week program to assist blockchain projects looking to raise funds, seek mentorship and grow. The program is a $100 million program sponsored by Cronos Labs Ecosystem Fund. The participants in the first cohort of the accelerator program included D.G.Pals, Eyeball Pool, Harbor, The New Resistance, Wild Forest, Bubble Maps, Meshlink, ReferReach and Glass Finance.

According to data from CoinMarketCap, the network’s native coin, CRO, traded at $0.108 as of this writing. Its price has basically remained unchanged since the beginning of the month.
