The integration of Cobo Wallet and Cobo Custody could open the floodgates for institutional investment into the Cronos Chain.
Partnership with Cronos
Cobo, the Asia-Pacific region’s prominent digital asset custodian, announced it has integrated the Cronos Chain and its ecosystem of over 300 Decentralized Applications (dApps).
Cobo’s proprietary Decentralized Finance (DeFi) asset management services exceed 1.5 billion Australian dollars.
Through this partnership, Cobo will integrate Cronos with the Cobo Wallet and Cobo Custody service, providing Cronos with exposure to more than 300 institutions and high-net-worth individuals.
“We are pleased to announce our partnership with Cronos and we are optimistic about the growth of Cronos public chain and the projects that rely on it. Additionally, this collaboration provides our institutional hosting customers with easier access to Cronos ecosystem,” Cobo Vice-President Alex Zuo said.
In addition to custody services, Cobo also is ablockchain and DeFi infrastructure builder that develops products including Wallets as a Service (WaaS), Staking as a Service (StaaS), and NFT Minting as a Service (MaaS). Cobo’s incubator arm specializes in early-stage investments in DeFi projects.
“The Cronos integration of Cobo Custody and Cobo Wallet brings additional security to the institutional and retail users of the Cronos ecosystem. We are excited to introduce the top DeFi, gaming and Web3 projects and tokens in the Cronos ecosystem to Cobo’s institutional clients and retail users, leveraging Cobo’s secure and leading custody services and asset management solutions,” said Ella Qiang, VP of Ecosystem & Partnerships at Cronos Labs.
Cronos also celebrated the partnership with a tweet lauding the “institutional level security” that Cobo will bring to the Cronos ecosystem.
The collaboration comes at an opportune time, as Cronos recently announced the first cohort of its flagship accelerator program for DeFi, Non-Fungible Tokens (NFTs) and other Web3 projects. The partnership will give newer Cronos dApps greater visibility to Cobo’s institutional clients.
