Activity, Market Caps and $ARB Drops

Arbitrum has become the clear leader among layer-2 Ethereum rollups, particularly in terms of Decentralized Finance. The airdrop of the network’s ARB token certainly sparked interest and involvement in the chain, but the crypto degen event of the season didn’t turn out to be another pump-and-dump stunt.

Since the $ARB airdrop on March 23, Arbitrum’s Total Value Locked (TVL) has actually increased, from $3.3 billion to $3.6 billion. More protocols are announcing that they’re joining the party on Arbitrum, including the Wombat Exchange ecosystem we examined in an early edition of Pat’s Picks.

The DeFi offerings on this still-young network are rich, and getting richer. And where there’s a growing ecosystem, there are potential opportunities to be had.

This week, we’ll survey the DeFi landscape on Arbitrum, looking at our usual metrics including TVL and market capitalization, but also throwing in $ARB allocations to DAOs for further consideration.
