Chainlink has announced two new integrations—Nasdaq-listed Streamex Corp. (STEX) and Pharos, a programmable Layer-1 blockchain.

Both integrations mark a deeper move into real-world asset (RWA) tokenization and on-chain transparency, key themes shaping institutional adoption in decentralized finance (DeFi).

Streamex selected Chainlink as its official oracle and on-chain transparency provider, while Pharos adopted Chainlink’s interoperability and data standards from day one of its mainnet launch. Both companies will rely on Chainlink’s Cross-Chain Interoperability Protocol (CCIP) to ensure secure cross-chain messaging and Data Streams for high-speed market data.

Streamex, an institutional commodity tokenization company listed on Nasdaq, focuses on bringing real-world commodities like gold onto blockchain networks. Its first product, the GLDY token, is a yield-bearing digital asset fully backed by audited physical gold.

To enhance transparency and reliability, Streamex has integrated three key Chainlink solutions:

  • Cross-Chain Interoperability Protocol (CCIP): Enables GLDY to move securely between Base and Solana mainnets.
  • Proof of Reserve (PoR): Offers on-chain verification of the physical gold reserves backing each GLDY token.
  • Price Feeds: Provide tamper-proof market data for accurate gold pricing onchain.

Together, these tools create a verifiable and liquid infrastructure for tokenized commodities. GLDY holders can transfer their tokens across multiple blockchains, verify gold reserves in real time, and access consistent market prices — all through Chainlink’s decentralized oracle network.

According to Streamex, it chose Chainlink CCIP after reviewing multiple interoperability frameworks. The decision centered on four key benefits:

  1. Defense-in-Depth Security
CCIP’s consensus layer is built on the same Chainlink Decentralized Oracle Network (DON) infrastructure that secures over $100 billion in DeFi total value locked (TVL) and has processed tens of trillions in on-chain transaction value since 2022.
  2. Secure Token Transfers
CCIP supports Cross-Chain Tokens (CCTs), which turn any ERC-20-compatible token into a cross-chain asset. This design allows developers to deploy pre-audited token pool contracts or create custom versions without changing existing token logic.
  3. Programmable Token Transfers
CCIP can move value and data simultaneously across blockchains. Developers can automate complex cross-chain operations—like collateral transfers, liquidations, or redemptions—within a single transaction.
  4. Future-Proof Architecture
The protocol supports ongoing integration of new blockchains and security layers, ensuring its longevity as interoperability standards evolve.

“Integrating Chainlink’s interoperability and data standards will mark a major step forward in Streamex’s mission to bring real-world assets securely on-chain,” said Henry McPhie, Co-Founder and CEO of Streamex. “Via Chainlink we can ensure that GLDY operates with the highest levels of transparency, reliability, and cross-chain functionality”

What Streamex Gains

By adopting Chainlink’s stack, Streamex achieves:

  • Cross-chain liquidity for its gold-backed stablecoin.
  • Real-time transparency through Proof of Reserve audits.
  • Unified asset management for issuance, trading, and verification.
  • Increased institutional trust with verifiable on-chain data.

These integrations make GLDY more usable for asset managers, exchanges, and DeFi protocols looking for stable, fully backed collateral.

Pharos, a programmable open financial Layer-1 blockchain founded by former AntChain and Ant Financial executives, has also adopted Chainlink’s standards from its mainnet launch. Its focus is on scaling enterprise-grade RWA marketsgreen finance, and digital payments using Chainlink’s infrastructure as the foundation.

Pharos integrated two Chainlink technologies:

  • CCIP: For cross-chain value transfer and secure messaging.
  • Data Streams: For high-speed, accurate price data that supports real-time RWA trading.

This combination enables institutional-grade RWA applications that meet performance, compliance, and transparency needs.

According to Pharos its use of Chainlink Data Streams provides critical advantages:

  • Sub-second price latency: Enables fast, high-performance trading experiences.
  • High data accuracy: Maintains consistent price feeds aligned with benchmark exchanges.
  • End-to-end customization: Allows tailored market data structures for specific protocols.
  • Protection against frontrunning: Uses a “commit-and-reveal” mechanism for transaction privacy before execution.

On the cross-chain side, CCIP enables secure transfers through CCTs without vendor lock-in, while its multi-layer validation ensures security through multiple independent oracle networks.

Wish Wu, CEO and Co-Founder of Pharos, explained:

“By adopting CCIP as our canonical cross-chain standard and adopting Data Streams for low-latency price data, we’re enabling builders and institutions to launch tokenized asset solutions that meet enterprise performance and security requirements from day one”

These partnerships come as Chainlink strengthens its role in global finance through several initiatives:

  • Corporate Actions Initiative: Collaboration with 24 major financial institutions, including Swift, DTCC, UBS, and Euroclear, to improve the delivery of structured and validated corporate data.
  • Digital Transfer Agent (DTA) Standard: Defines how transfer agents manage on-chain operations for tokenized assets. UBS uMINT is the first token adopting this standard.
  • Deutsche Börse Integration: Publishes market data on-chain via Chainlink’s DataLink, delivering 4 billion data points daily.
  • Institutional Identity Solutions: Works with GLEIF to develop verifiable Legal Entity Identifiers (vLEIs) combined with Chainlink’s Cross-Chain Identity (CCID) and Automated Compliance Engine (ACE) for compliant digital asset transactions.
  • Regional Adoption: Partnerships with Saudi Awwal Bank21XMisyon Bank, and Zand Bank for tokenized asset workflows and digital banking infrastructure.

These efforts position Chainlink as a key bridge between traditional capital markets and decentralized networks.

Conclusion

The partnerships with Streamex and Pharos expand Chainlink’s role as a foundation for secure, transparent, and interoperable tokenization systems.

For Streamex, Chainlink brings verified gold-backed assets onchain. For Pharos, it powers high-speed RWA markets. Together, they represent a broader shift toward standardized, verifiable infrastructure for the digital asset economy — built on Chainlink’s proven oracle and interoperability technology.
