Global cryptocurrency exchange Binance has been an active connoisseur of Web3 projects through its crypto investing arm Binance Labs.
Global cryptocurrency exchange Binance is more than just a platform for trading. Through Binance Labs, it is also an active investor and facilitator of various Web3 projects.
Binance Labs is the venture capital arm and accelerator of Binance. It was launched in 2018 with the goal of funding promising entrepreneurs whose focus is on building out the blockchain industry. Some of its most recognized projects include Polygon, CertiK, Nym, Perpetual Protocol, Injective Protocol, and Dune Analytics.
According to Binance Blog, Binance Labs examines five specific principles when deciding which projects to support. They have to be innovative, sustainable, traction, team quality and technology. The result of these five principles will determine whether it will will back projects and their founders.
From a long-term perspective, Binance Labs is focusing on the venture side for value creation with the goal of building out the Web3 industry.
