"We’re in that final stretch where it’s less about adding and more about refining. And honestly, that’s one of my favorite phases because it’s all so tangible and exciting: seeing those huge modules and features that it took us months to build get finishing touches," Yuliia stated. 

Key updates included improvements to the Wallet module, such as an updated UI for sorting NFTs and restored chains lists in NFTs view. In the Chat section, smoother loading states and added roll-down functionality were implemented to enhance navigation.

The Feed, a central component of any social media app, received substantial attention. Updates included refactored relay management for improved data flow, an overhauled Stories module for enhanced stability, and smart relay selection that automatically connects users to the fastest server. The scoring logic was refined to prioritize content from active users, aiming to increase engagement.

General enhancements addressed performance, including memory analysis for the Chat and Profile modules, the resolution of circular dependencies in data providers, and the addition of a "no internet connection" main page. 

Bug fixes were comprehensive, covering authentication issues like fixed registration errors and restored content in the "Discover creators" screen. Wallet bugs, including scroll speed improvements and resolved greyed screens after NFT sends, were also tackled.

Yuliia also highlighted the role of beta testers: "We’re also carefully going through all the latest feedback from our beta testers — making sure the app looks and feels good, not just on paper and in app stores’ eyes (yes, both Apple and Google approved our latest version!), but in people’s hands and across devices."

This reflects a methodical approach that emphasizes user-centric development in the competitive dApp landscape.

Community Engagement and Addressing Challenges

Over the past week, ION actively engaged with its community on X, responding to feedback, promoting the project, and countering criticism. In the same fold, community members praised the app's potential, with beta testers describing the reels as "addictive" and the UI as "smooth." ION’s X account replied to such feedback, including a video demo of the Feed and Reels on July 13, calling it "way too addictive."

Addressing misinformation or fear, uncertainty, and doubt (FUD), a post on July 12 quoted: "If they’re not spreading FUD, you’re not building something worth noticing." This was positioned as a sign of the project's relevance. An open letter from a community member on July 13 appreciated the team's resilience against "scamfluencers," which the account acknowledged positively.

“Online+ was never meant for noise-makers or "scamfluencers". It is being built for a value-driven, mission-focused community; people who understand the true power of ownership, decentralization, and #Web3 freedom. And we, the community, are proud to be part of that vision,” a part of the Open Letter reads.

The team also previewed "Online+ Unpacked," a blog series launching on July 19, 2025, starting with "What Is Online+ and Why It’s Different," exploring on-chain identity, tokenized social layers, and creator monetization.

As expected, Yuliia encouraged more feedback from Beta testers as the core team continues making progress with developing the “social media platform of the New Internet."
