Cardano Foundation Partners With Brazilian Olympic Committee For Sport Transformation

A Three-Year Roadmap for Sport and Technology

@Cardano_CF has announced a three-year strategic partnership with the Brazilian Olympic Committee (@timebrasil) to bring public blockchain, the Internet of Things (IoT), and artificial intelligence into Brazil's national sporting infrastructure. The deal marks one of the most significant institutional adoptions of the Cardano protocol in the Latin American sports sector.

According to the announcement, the partnership is structured around four primary verticals: on-chain identity certification, IoT-enabled equipment tracking, AI-driven analytics, and decentralized governance powered by $ADA. Together, these pillars are designed to introduce a new layer of transparency and accountability to how Brazilian sport is administered and verified at a national level.

Pilots, Governance and a Global Benchmark

Following an initial executive workshop between the two organisations, the parties are now preparing institutional pilots. The goal, as outlined in the roadmap, is to position Time Brasil as a global benchmark for transparent sporting operations, with on-chain records providing verifiable audit trails for everything from athlete identity credentials to equipment provenance.

The move is consistent with the Cardano Foundation's broader push into Brazil and Latin America. Earlier in 2026, the Foundation launched Latin America's first Cardano Project Development Lab in partnership with the University of Brasília, signalling an accelerating institutional strategy in the region. The Foundation has previously demonstrated blockchain's applicability in sport through its work with Epoch Sports and Merchadise at the 2023 World Lacrosse Championship, where NFC-chipped jerseys were linked to unique digital certificates of authenticity on the Cardano blockchain, allowing fans to verify merchandise and access loyalty programmes on-chain.

The Brazilian Olympic Committee partnership extends that logic into national sporting governance, using $ADA-powered decentralised tools to manage institutional decisions and track assets across the Olympic programme. If the pilots advance as planned, the collaboration could serve as a template for other national Olympic bodies exploring blockchain-based infrastructure.
