Sonic Hits $5.5 Billion Usdc Bridged Through Circle'S Cctp

@SonicLabs has announced that approximately $5.48 billion worth of $USDC has been bridged to its network via @Circle's Cross-Chain Transfer Protocol, known as CCTP.

CCTP is a permissionless on-chain utility that moves native $USDC across blockchain networks by burning tokens on the source chain and minting them on a 1:1 basis on the destination chain, eliminating the need for wrapped or synthetic alternatives.

The figure marks a significant milestone for Sonic as stablecoins continue to attract growing attention across the broader crypto industry. $USDC issuer @Circle filed for an initial public offering earlier this year, a move widely seen as a signal of maturing institutional interest in the stablecoin sector.
