SecondLive’s AR capabilities allow users to seamlessly blend avatars, custom outfits, and V-Dance digital assets with the real world.
SecondLive leaps forward by introducing augmented reality (AR) capabilities into its platform. Now, users can seamlessly integrate their avatars, custom outfits, and V-Dance digital assets with the real world, where creativity and connection truly converge.
SecondLive utilizes a range of proprietary technologies to power their AR Globetrotters experience. These technologies include environmental perception for precise placement of virtual objects, and realistic rendering for visually seamless integration with the real world. Further, Multimedia recordings support easy capture and sharing of your AR experiences, allowing you to relive those moments anytime you want.
“We're witnessing a rapid evolution in how people interact with digital spaces and each other,” Olivia G, Marketing Director at SecondLive, told BSC News. SecondLive is proud to be part of this dynamic ecosystem, and with AR integration, we aim to push the boundaries of what's possible, creating a metaverse that's both innovative and inclusive.
With the recent update, you can open the mobile app and summon your avatar into the real world. You can interact with digital and real-life friends, regardless of your location, and showcase your dance skills on an augmented reality stage with the real world as your backdrop. What's more, you capture those magical moments with photos and videos of your AR adventures, preserving every unforgettable experience.
According to the protocol, the groundwork for the recent integration began nearly two years ago when SecondLive started developing innovative solutions centered around digital avatars and spaces, utilizing advanced Extended reality (XR) and spatial computing technologies.
Although the full productization of XR is still being fine-tuned to avoid increasing end-user hardware costs, a glimpse of its potential was showcased during last year's virtual concert in collaboration with designer Miso. SecondLive is now taking its first step into spatial computing with the introduction of XR capabilities on the mobile platform.
Earlier, SecondLive launched its app for Android phones last November. Early adopters of the Android app had the chance to attend the “2Live with friends” concert on Nov. 27 using their phones. Further, last March, SecondLive Metaverse also integrated .bnb domains from Space ID.
You can learn more about SecondLive AR here.
