PiCyber’s goal is to make the internet accessible in areas without traditional internet access.
PiCyber offers a unique service to Pioneers in the Decentralized Finance (DeFi) space. The e-commerce platform enables Pioneers to use their Pi to purchase wifi zones.
Users with poor internet service can utilize the application by verifying their identity using the Pi Network and browsing available wifi zones. Pioneers can pay using their Pi when the zone is available and enjoy internet access. According to the protocol’s midpoint submission at the ongoing hackathon, its goal is to make internet access available to everyone.
“Our goal is to create a seamless and secure way for users to use their Pi cryptocurrency to purchase Wi-Fi zones, which can be used to access the internet in areas without traditional internet access,” PiCyber developer, Filano said.
PiCyber is in its development phase and has completed the backend infrastructure of the application. The team is now working on the User Interface (UI) design and integration of Pi payment. The protocol will use the remainder of the hackathon to complete the UI and Pi payment integration before testing it with a small group of users and ensuring that it is safe and secure.
